Educational Background: PhD in Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA (2015)
Research Interests: My main research interests encompass multidisciplinary design optimization, complex engineering systems, statistical machine learning, building energy management, building-to-grid integration, and big data
Current Projects: Developing a new Cyber Physical System (CPS) framework to effectively reduce demand peaks and associated grid stress, electricity unit cost, and carbon emissions in large urban communities such as New York City, by integrating the battery storage with the advanced automation systems. The Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC), Siemens, and Urban Electric Power will provide the ability to field test this CPS framework in an actual laboratory.
